I'm ready for my new family!

Alita came to us as a stray with severe medical issues. More than one vet informed us that she had suffered severe abuse and trauma. After months of weekly trips to a specialist Alita is on her way to recovery and a new life. While Alita should have lost all faith in mankind due to her horrific past, she is resilient and wants to trust people again. Alita has been a champ through all of her procedures and bandage changes, but with all those changes it seems she wants to have a one on one kind of relationship with her person. Alita has coexisted with other dogs, but does get jealous and would prefer to be your one and only. Alita also seems to bond hard to one person in a home and becomes protective of that person towards other people. Her foster family is working very hard to help her understand that it's ok to trust more than one person at a time and they are making wonderful progress.
