Socks was born on the Piqua bike trail. A common dumping ground for unwanted cats. He spent the first two years of his life out on the trail until the sanctuary decided to help these cats. Socks grew up knowing the kindness of humans through the colony feeders. But living outside is hard and he was constantly afraid of threats in the environment. Since coming to the sanctuary key is quickly to trust more and more people. He’s still frightened by sudden movements or loud noises, but he is incredibly curious and affectionate. Socks need people that are willing to go at his speed. He would do best in a calmer household. He loves being around other cats, and he spent his entire life in a large group of them.
