Itzel has a sweet girl inside her somewhere, but you must seek her approval before she will show you. This young little mama takes time to come around to trusting people. She prefers calmer people who wil let Itzel approach them on her terms. She was separated from her kittens once they were weaned because she was very much over being a mom. She will be a slow one to come around but a great project cat. She is often hiding out of reach on Caturdays when our adoption floor is busy. When only a few people are around she struts the room with confidence approaching volunteers and visitors to seek out some attention. If you move to fast or make a loud noise, she may retreat for a few minutes, but will curiously return. Itzel does not yet have enough confidence or trust in people yet to allow them to pick her up.
