Jessie and her brother, Woody, Came to the sanctuary at seven weeks old. They were very sick with pneumonia and Jessie weighed only 10 ounces. She was literally half the size of her brother. Both kittens eyes were completely matted shut, and every breath sounded like a gurgle They receive plentiful food around the clock care medicine to treat their pneumonia, breathing treatments, several times a day and all the love and affection. It took weeks for them to recover from the pneumonia. It left its mark on both kittens. Jessie’s left eye has a scar from healed ulcer. After a couple months of treatment, they were finally deemed healthy enough to begin vaccines and spay and neuter. Because they suffered severe phenomena at such a young age, they may require additional vetting as they get older. They have proven that they are fighters and will do whatever it takes to survive. They are lovers. They Experience a lot of medical care at the hands of their foster. They are used to being handled and are even compliant when being treated They enjoy love and cuddles and belly, rubs. Jessie is very petite. She takes a minute to warm up to new situations but once comfortable loves cuddles and belly rubs. She may hiss at other cats at first but quickly gets used to them.
