I'm ready for my new family!

This slick black cat is Monica! Monica is one of the first cats to ever come to our shelter and we’d love to tell you about her!

Monica was taken in August of 2020 as a seemingly untouchable cat. She didn’t like others and overall just kept to herself. In her time here though, we’ve noticed she’s made some remarkable changes! Monica is still pretty aloof and does her own thing, but she’s now much more playful and accepting of affection. She adores head and back scratches! Monica is one of our sassiest cats we have here. She absolutely loves a relaxing place to nap all day in the sun. She’s an absolute sweetheart with some sass who just needs a special patient person.

Monica’s ideal household would be one where she could seek comfort in other cats and live freely. She loves to relax in front of windows and would love to have a few spots she could make her own. She’s probably prefer a calmer place and will definitely take a while to acclimate. We recommend having cats like this spend a few days in a bedroom or bathroom so they can get to know you.
