Moxie was a community cat hanging around in Troy. Surprisingly this girl, aged around 6 years was not spayed. We spayed her and she was fully vetted. Moxie is a bit cantankerous and that is because she is mostly blind. She has trouble seeing what is coming at her and reacts as any scared creature would when a big looming shadow eclipses her. She hisses and lashes out with her claws trying the shred anything that comes near her. She often picks a spot where she is comfortable, Usually elevated, Where she feels comfortable and will claim it as her own, only coming out of her hiding spot to use the litter box or have some food or water. We know that there is a sweet kitty inside of Moxie, but she has many reasons to be skeptical and will need ample time to trust anyone. She is not available for adoption to the general public. She will need very special care from very experienced people. She needs the right place where she can come around to trust in her own time and won’t be pushed outside of her comfort zone. It will take her several months if not longer to acclimate to new situation
