I'm ready for my new family!

I'm Available Bonded With: Jessie

Woody and his sister, Jessie, Came to the sanctuary at seven weeks old.  Both kittens eyes were completely matted shut, and every breath sounded like a gurgle  They receive plentiful food around the clock care medicine to treat their pneumonia, breathing treatments, several times a day and all the love and affection.  It took weeks for them to recover from the pneumonia. It left its mark on both kittens. Jessie’s left eye has a scar from healed ulcer. Woody’s left eye never fully opened. Although the globe was still intact, his 3rd eyelid grew to cover 90% of his eye.    After a couple months of treatment, they were finally deemed healthy enough to begin vaccines and spay and neuter. Woody went first to be neutered and have his eye repaired. It has healed wonderfully.  His left eye will always be smaller than his right eye and may need further attention down the road, but for now he can see out of both eyes, finally.
Woody has been deemed healthy by our vets even receiving a chest x ray to show that his lungs are clear of any damage or further infection. Despite the clean bill of health, Woody easily gets winded. He is a big boy hitting the scales at 9.5# at only 6 months old and still growing. He is double the size of his siblings.
Woody is a silly little kitty. He thinks everything is a toy. Fingers or ties hiding under blankets must always be pounced. Woody occasionally gets over enthusiastic while playing. We recommend frequent nail trims and redirecting his play if he gets too excited. He can easily be convinced to cuddle instead allowing you to flip him on his back and rub his belly. Woody is full of love and waiting for the purrfect home.
